The Beyond (USA) was an American alternative band that was active from 1987 to 1990. The group consisted of Eric Butler, lead vocals and bass, Andy Hanson, drums and vocals, and David Harrell, guitar and vocals. Based in Jacksonville, Illinois, the trio released three cassette-only albums: "Another Day" in 1987, "Art For Pete's Sake" in 1988, and "Medium Rarities" in 1993. All three titles were released under the band name "The Beyond," the parenthetical USA is used here to distinguish the group from the better-known Derby, England band that used the same name from 1988 to 1993.
