The Battleship Agenda is a Rock/Pop/Pop punk band from Denver, CO. It began with the demise of a handful of local Denver bands. Nick Ferro from 6afraidof7, Tyler Call and Kellen Niemeier from Falls Ruin, and Kat Barnes formerly of Random Hero. They started writing songs to record their debut EP Sound the Sirens in May of 2009. Without a permanent drummer, Sean Bennet of The Heyday filled in for the recording of the EP. After it's completion, the search for a permanent drummer led them to close friend Chris Brinson, formerly of The Calefaction. After 2 months of preparation, they had their first live performance opening up for Unwritten Law at The Bluebird Theatre in Denver, CO to a near sold-out crowd. They began playing shows regularly around Denver, even coming in the top 10 for Channel 93.3's "Big Gig" and also in the"Hometown for the Holidays" competition that same year. In early 2010, the band had a falling out with Kat and she quit the band, after playing a few shows with a fill in vocalist they decided to take a break for awhile and find a new singer. While on their hiatus, bassist Kellen Niemeier decided to part ways with the band. Soon after, long time friend and former Ruin Sisera bassist, Casey Ottmann, was brought into the glory. Ottmann, along with Ferro, took on the responsibility of performing vocals, and together they began to orchestrate the band’s transition.
