The Band Steele is made up of high school friends, Bo Steele and Ben Rubino. They began playing music together at age 14 in Winston County, Alabama. Bo and Ben achieved a tremendous amount of Internet attention, when a video of Bo singing in a hospital waiting room went viral. It has reached millions of views and is still garnering incredibly inspiring positive comments daily. The pair had their television debut on WHNT News 19 in Huntsville, Alabama where they had become local celebrities. They were also featured on the “Rick and Bubba Show”, a nationally syndicated radio talk show, where their music was aired and chosen as “keep it”, a radio success! The duo caught the ear of industry executives including independent record label Fire River Records, who signed them to a multi-album record deal. Additionally, the label secured Bo Steele a role in a motion picture, Life on the Line, starring John Travolta, Kate Bosworth and Sharon Stone. This fantastic opportunity allowed him to perform an original song in the movie, set to be released in late 2016. The band’s involvement in the movie Life on the Line, inspired them to record a song honoring linemen and their families, called “The Lineman”. The song and video have received much acclaim and support internationally. June of 2016 brought more success as The Band Steele was asked to perform two shows at the NASCAR Drivin’ For Linemen 200 Race, where Bo Steele was featured singing the National Anthem live on Fox Sports 1.
