THIS IS A WARNING! The Band From Planet X have landed and there is no hope for the squares. Piece by piece... by piece, the band will make your ass shake and ear drums bleed through their reverb drenched surf punk transmissions. They turn bones and flesh into screaming savage blood death. See it! Feel it! Taste the blood! And if this all seems a bit far fetched it’s because in The Band From Planet X’s world bodiless heads talk, the dead walk and there’s no sweeter sound then a beautiful woman screaming in terror. The 4 members– Erich Von Erik (Vox/GTR), Marky R (Drums), Matthew Hopkins ‘Bitchfinder General’ (Bass/ Vox) and J-RAWK (GTR)- met up in Outerspace or Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada- whichever is more hideous. They quickly realized that they shared the same warped love of all things macabre. The band’s influences range from the insane gore films of H.G. Lewis and Lucio Fulci to old school punk rock, instrumental surf and garage rock.Musically, the band has been known to fluctuate between full throttle punk rock screamers, country twangers on speed, garage pop, indie rock clamor and hill-billy rock-a-billy via Link Wray. This psychotronic ballyhoo noise could be best described as what one would hear coming from a garage on Mars, in which The Ramones and The Cramps practiced together while watching schlocky horror, sci-fi and B-movies. Lyrically, the band is all about basking in the go! go! goo of their devilishly beloved things: aliens, zombies, nudie cuties and
