The Bad Thing is a Local band from Staines in the United Kingdom. Their style is experimental and Alternative Rock. The Bad thing started around January 2007, Formed by Scott Freeman (guitar/Vocals), Jon Moore (Lead Guitar), Tom (bass) and Harry Shakesphere (drums). Originally called "GRASS" they recorded and produced the EP- "Running Away From Soceity" which has 4 brillant and enigetic songs in. Which blew their career up in the air, by the band getting gigs all over the place in April and may, to promote the EP. After awhile, They had enough of GRASS as a name, as the band felt that people thought it was about drugs and rebelion. So they changed, after a long think, their name to THE BAD THING. Which in summer of 2007 have toured around Surrey in Pubs and Clubs. Gaining many support. The new Ep is due sometime early 2008 and the band have reportly fired their lead guitarist (Jon Moore) out of the band and have soon replaced it with a new one (Sonny Evans). Jon Moore (Former Guitarist) and Scott Freeman (Vocals) are rumored of starting a new band, under a new name and playing different experimental stuff.
