There are five Aviators bands: (The first being the band pictured and who the similar artists apply to) 1) The Aviators, London based. - Have now renamed themselves Tiny Spark! The band; George, Dan, Ali, Kev & Rob became a five piece outfit with the addition of Rob on Keys in 2006. The band formed after realizing a shared interest and ambition in music in the cultural hub that is Portsmouth, relocating to London to make it 'big' in 2007. Since forming, the band have achieved relative success, being featured in the well respected Music Week magazine and supporting acts such as Electric Soft Parade, JJ72, The Leaves and Thirteen Senses. Furthermore the band have played at the Hi-Fi Festival as well as at the opening ceremonies for The Round The World Yaught Race. Continuing to sell out numerous venues when they return for a homecoming gigs in Pompey the band are also making a name for themselves in the capital. 2) The Aviators, Cambridge-based, The Funk is right here, right now. here's what they have to say: 'Hi Everyone! We are a band called The Aviators and we are based in Cambridge. We play many genres of music, from jazz-funk to psychedelic-rock, although we feed mainly upon the juiciness of the funk. We formed in November 2006 to satisfy the needs of an upcoming gig, and have played together ever since. We do some covers, as well as our own stuff, which is beginning to prove popular.
