The Autumn Lovelies was an indie rock band with slightly experimental tendencies formed by a group of friends in Madrid, Spain, with the purpose of getting rich and famous. Their first EP was more pop oriented because they entered it in a Sony competition hoping to win and become rich and famous. This was not very realistic. But they had fun and played some shows and their friends liked them. So they made another album that was more rocking and experimental and even featured keyboard and saxophone in some parts. Then they sort of fell apart because two members left the country and the two that were left formed the drum & guitar duo Cain&Abel. Then one of the two remaining members left the country leaving Q-mins to grow ever more angry, depressed, and frustrated. Maybe he will leave the country too. Original members were: Q-mins on drums and ocassional guitar and backing vocals, Chris on lead vocals and tambourine and ocassional keyboard fiddling, Sam on lead guitar and backing vocals and sometimes bass, and Daniel on bass and backing vocals and sometimes saxophone. Daniel joined after the first EP was done, but played shows and contributed to the second EP. Eric filled in for him at a show or two he couldn't be at, and people said he played better, but didn't have that charm and experimental cutting edge that Daniel provided. The Autumn Lovelies were never signed to any label, and the limited number of self-released CD-Rs they sold or gave out at shows are now fet
