Lets be honest. There are many Metalcore, Deathcore, Hardcore, Grindcore, Crunkcore, Applecore and all other kinds of core bands today. Its quite irritating to place a label on them. So what makes THE ASCENDING so special. Well nothing…YET!!!! All bands today are seeking the fame and fortune by making mediocre music and having a pretty boy image. Well every member in this band has had a tough upbringing and for us this music is our escape. Our creativity. Our passion. Our lives. We are doing this for the music and for ourselves. It does not matter what anyone else thinks. We joined together in mid 2008 with the sole purpose of playing the music we love. And our goal is to share this music with each and every individual that we can. If that means we sign a multi-record deal and tour the world or we just here at home and play to 10 people a night its all the same because it means that much to us. We’ve combined harmonizing guitar riffs, thunderous beats, and brutal vocals to get the sound that we find fits us.
