"The Arches" are a Minneapolis instrumental band fighting crime and spreading love and kindness around the world - that's what they say about themselves. They started to release their works on Bandcamp in May 2017 and have issued 60 EPs and singles since then, at the time of this writing (February 2019). The songs, written by Mark L. Swanson throughout, are typically short and simple, with electric guitars as lead instruments, and might be categorized basically as alternative rock. However, "The Arches" are renowned for experimenting quite a bit with sounds and arrangements, so their EPs are quite varied, sometimes even reaching out to the realm of art rock.
