Denton Ray Widner (December 30, 1952 – March 17, 2020) started off his music career as The Alabama Kid. He was a rockabilly guitarist and singer. He started playing guitar at the age of six. By the age of twelve, he performed in numerous shows in Alabama. He also made television appearances. He only recorded one single in 1965. He continued his career under his real name Denton Widner as time went by and he drummed. He switched from rockabilly music to country music. He created his own YouTube channel in the early 21st century. Widner died on March 17, 2020.
