The Ailerons are an indie rock band featuring Charity Hair, Daniel Beattie, Dave Rowntree (drummer of English band Blur), Grog Prebble and Mike Smith. They were recently brought into public view due to their song, 'Dig A Hole' being featured as iTunes' free single of the week. The song is taken from the band's debut E.P. Left Right. After the 2006 English tour the band has been put on hold due to Dave Rowntree's ambitions to become a barrister, as well as the recently announced Blur reunion. The band itself though isn't over, as an album has been recorded but not released. There is a rumour a possible release could happen in Spring 2009.
