Artist
Born out of a shared love of surf culture and cardigans, The 427’s are a throwback to days spent at the beach and nights spent dancing at the Rendezvous Ballroom. Influenced by early 60’s surf music, spaghetti westerns, and film noir, The 427’s formed in the fall of 2013 and released their debut EP, “Surf Noir” in February, 2014. They've shared stages with artists from the world of punk, rockabilly, rock n' roll, and swing, and have been featured on radio stations worldwide, including reaching the top 10 in Winnipeg and Halifax and the top 20 in Victoria. They are currently recording their full-length follow-up to "Surf Noir", to be released in autumn, 2015. As the fellas say, “We can’t find any waves here, so we’ve made our own!” User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
