FunxSoulJaz was a gangsta rap group from Santa Rosa, California, made up of Capital B, Ignite, Phlex, DJ 2NV & DJ Co-V-Co (who died around 2000). They're regarded as Bay Area underground legends. They released their debut EP in 1994 through Crack Or Jack Records, entitled "The Nine". It was followed by 2 full length albums, "Keep It Comin'" in 1995 & "Neva Walk Alone" in 1998. These releases are considered as underground classics. A Best-of compilation album also came out in 2001 & 2 of the members (Capitol B & Ignite) put out some solo stuff. FunxSouljaz eventually appeared on several classic compilations throughout the 2nd half of the 90's. They collaborated with some famous or legendary rap acts such as Ska-Face Al Kapone (Better known as just Al Kapone), Baby Bash, Jay Tee, Johnny Z & N2Deep, Don Cisco, Ray Luv or Assaasin.
