Thành Luke is a lead singer-songwriter fronting rock trio Cá Hồi Hoang. Born and raised in Da Lat, Vietnam, he began his career in music after dropping out of university in his final year. When Thành was 14, he met his best friend and guitarist Thanh Minh. They had played together in a punk rock band named Dép Tổ Ong since early days of high school. The band broke up in 2013, following by several cover projects and small pub gigs by Minh and Thành. The duo formed Cá Hồi Hoang later that year and went straight to work on their first album Chương II, which were set to released in November 2014. Outside of Cá Hồi Hoang, Thành produced the first song of alternative band Gác Mái named "Họa Sĩ Bầu Trời", the self-titled EP of rock trio Thangca. In 2016, he released his 1st solo album Qua Từng Nếp Nhăn, showcasing folk-influenced indie pop. In 2020, he release his 2nd album Gián Đoạn with some new approaches in music style. In 2023, Cá Hồi Hoang announced their disbandment, and Thành Luke has revealed a music project called The Luka Project on his social media accounts. Heavily inspired by the romance of dandy music box arrangement and a hint of classical, 60s Motown feel, the 11-track record of The Luka Project was released on November 10, 2023.
