Artist
Terror Pop is the name of more than one artist: 1) Swedish punk band from Laholm, founded in 1980. 2) pop band from Cork 1) Terror Pop was a Swedish music group, formed in November 1980 as Laholm's first punk band. The members later moved to Halmstad. During most of their career, the band was a trio consisting of the brothers Hasse (Haze) Enqvist, Sven (Sven-Svin) Enqvist and Joen (JoeN) Enqvist. First demo Du e död became a hit song on the radio program Ny Våg. The band initially sang in Swedish, but eventually switched to English. Last record Put A Match To It was released in November 2012. The band disbanded in February 2013. 2) Cork’s Terror Pop released two acclaimed singles under their former title of Agitate the Gravel and hope to put forward their best foot yet in the form of new single, ‘Wait’; a strident and urgent pop firecracker that oozes melody like an oil spill, the single will be released on April 2nd. 'Wait' is the band’s third release in an 18-month spell that has seen the group travelling relentlessly across the country and sharing bills with the likes of punk-rock godfather Mike Watt as well as upcoming Irish acts such as R.S.A.G, Jogging, Fighting With Wire and the Ambience Affair. The band also featured on Whelan's 'Ones to Watch for 2012' showcase as well as Hotpress' 'Freezer Sessions'.
