Terror Folds is the post-industrial electro project of Rocky Cordray. The band is based in Salt Lake City, UT. The primary concern of the band is the cathode ray tube. Cordray began performing the songs as a one man band while in college at Utah Valley University in Orem, UT. The project went under such monikers as BLONDES OF NAPALM, BULBOUS, and BIG LEAGUE CHEW. Eventual collaborators in the band included Joey Mays on guitar (RED ROCKETS, SPLIT REACTIONS) and Karl Jorgensen on drums (OK IKUMI, BIRDS OF PARADISE). Upon relocating to Salt Lake City, Cordray recruited Chris Nielsen on electro (DR. SIAK, MOTORIZED PEDESTRIANS) and Mark Noakes on guitar (MIDWIFE CRISIS). These additions changed the sound of the band towards the electronic and enabled the recording and mastering of Terror Folds first album, Cathodrama, as Nielson provided an in-house studio and Noakes was an accomplished sound engineer having worked on previous albums for such bands as MIDWIFE CRISIS and various film projects. The album was recorded in the summer of 2006 and released in April of 2007. A video for the song "Mediator" was produced by Tyrone Davies of Loaf-i records, and can be found on the Loaf-i website: loaf-i.com User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
