Terror Ave. was started in 1998 when former Denied and Everybody Gets Hurt guitarist Little Gregg began writing riffs for a new project he wanted to begin. He then recruited their drummer Mario, formerly of a death metal band named Asphyxiation, and also EGH's ex-drummer. Gregg needed a second guitarist that he knew he could flow with, so he chose his former bandmate from EGH, Steve "Pancho" Petitt, Steve was also 25 Ta Life's original guitarist and also played guitar for Dmize. The three began writing original material and began lookin for a singer and bassist which didn't come around until early in 2002. The first person they had in mind for vocals was Vato Rob of EGH, and he immediatley agreed to join when asked. Around the same time Full Blown Chaos's singer Joey had just dropped out of the band and was lookin for something new to start up, Gregg invited him down to practice to see if he was interested... one week later, Rob and Joey began writing lyrics for the riffs that Gregg, Steve and Mario had made up. Everything had come together perfectly, but they still needed a bass player. Mike Cools (Cold As Life) was Terror Ave's original bassist, and he played with them at their first show in 2002 at Castle Heights. Mike couldn't play full time due to his heavy touring schedule with Sworn Enemy at the time. So Gregg called ex-Downside guitarist Dave Bauer to see if he would want to switch over to the bass, he agreed and recorded all of the bass tracks on the demo as well as
