Ten Boy Summer was an emo-ish band that was around during 1993/1994. They did a brief U.S. tour in Dec. 1993/Jan. 1994. Ten Boy Summer featured Davey von Bohlen who later went on to play in Cap'n Jazz and The Promise Ring. Davey, Matt (AKA Shimme), and Jerod were original members along with Anthony, who was the original bass player, but due to logistics (he lived in Waukesha, all other members lived in Milwaukee) and possibly some other reasons, Pete was brought in as a replacement and went on the tour at the end of 1993. (Pete was going anyway, he owned the van, and happened to play bass, and live with Davey and Jerod at the Mound House where Ten Boy Summer practiced.) The name Ten Boy Summer? It's from the book, "Ten-Boy Summer" about the quest of a few girls to see who can date ten boys before the summer ends... We printed shirts for the Ten Boy Summer tour (December 1993 - January 1994) but because of the fear of shirts being printed after the demise of the band Davey and Matt demanded the screen be destroyed. So no shirt for you! The tour went good, we met a lot of cool people, hung out with our friends from Once Again and Underdog Records, and the only bad things to happen were some minor damage to the van when Jerod ran over something, the breaking of a van window, and the theft of the show money from the van. Other than that, it was great! We played in Indiana, Texas, Chicago, Kansas City (I think?) and a few other places. User-contributed text is available unde
