Artist
Shahin Entezami, also known by his stage name “Tegh” is a musician and sound artist based in Tehran, Iran. His music style mostly takes root in Noise, Drone and Glitch together with Experimental elements. In his music, Tegh tries to bring new aural experiences to life by combining different audio elements and creating complex soundscapes. Ima (ایما) is the first album resulting from a series of collaborations Tegh has initiated with other musicians from the acoustic world whose primary background is in classical music, exploring the possibilities of sonic world- building, and embodied imaginations through responding to each other’s sounds. For this first iteration, he has collaborated with Adel Poursamadi, a well-accomplished Iranian violinist. Ima (ایما) creates science-fictional soundscapes concerned with notions of post-human communication which were shaped through a sonic dialogue between Adel and Tegh in the electro- acoustic realm, with an intentional focus on Iranian traditional music.
