Ted Shinn born on July 7th, 1959 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Educated in Denver, Colorado and has recorded and produced 21 albums and 13 singles. He currently resides in New Mexico. Influenced by John Denver, Yanni, Chip Davis, Elton John, Peter Gabriel, Peter Frampton, and also Floyd Cramer, he uses piano and keyboards as the main compositional element, although he performed on guitar on several albums. Shinn won the 7th Annual Billboard Songwriting Contest in the Jazz Category in 1995 and was distributed nationally by Internet giant MP3 on it's compilation "103 Of The Best Songs You've Never Heard, Vol 2" for the song "Sierra" from the album "Natural Order" in 1999.
