Tattoo the Devil is an avant garde metal band from Chicago, IL, USA. The band consists of Lance Ferrel on lead vocals, Christopher Lee on guitars and backing vocals, Dominick Camillo on guitars, Mario Camillo on bass and Chris King on Drums. Since the formation in late 2010 the band has released an EP entitled “The Descent EP” which features 3 songs from the debut full length record slated to be available in 2013. Their sound is a blend of alternative rock, classical music, metal, latin, and progressive rock. Thus far, the guitars and piano have been the driving force of the instruments, often with strings and synthesizers providing an extra layer to the song, and synth/guitar unisons. A fretless bass sound gives the music something not typically heard in popular metal and hard rock, allowing the music to breathe a bit of fusion into the mix. The lyrics and vocal melodies are operatic and lend themselves very well to the epic themes of the musical landscapes.
