Tante Gaida is a Latvian indie folk collective formed by five musicians and close friends who met while studying at the Riga Dome Choir School. Known for their intricate multi-part vocal harmonies and versatile instrumentation, the band has quickly become a notable fixture in the Latvian alternative music scene. The ensemble consists of Lote Voiska, Dāvids Kalniņš, Elizabete Liepa, Rebeka Rēķe, and Kārlis Grīnbergs, the latter also serving as the group's producer. A defining characteristic of their live performances is "instrumental rotation," where members frequently swap roles between guitars, keyboards, and percussion, mirroring the fluid nature of their compositions. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61577964563478 User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
