Iwasaki Takumi is a Japanese singer, composer, arranger, keyboardist and music producer. He was born in Suginami, Tokyo, and graduated from the Portuguese Department of Sophia University, Tokyo, in 1979. In 1980, he joined the techno-pop band FILMS as a synthesizer player. In 1982 he formed a music unit called TPO which enjoyed popularity during the first half of 80s. In 1983 he made his debut as a solo artist under the name TAKUMI. Throughout his career, he has been affiliated with such bands as Tokyo Faces, Sex and ginette, and composed music for various artists, TV dramas and over 700 commercials.
