There is more then one artist using the name 'The Being'. 1)After recording a couple of “Mortiis-influend ambient-tracks and dwelling in the black metal underground for a couple of years the entity behind The Being incarnated in this neo-cabaret/neo-folk project. The Being started in 2006 and the fist album, ‘Through Madness to Mercury’, was recorded in 2007 but didn’t see a pressing plant before 2010. “”The Being’s debut album deals with the concept of inner-transformation and personal growth on a spiritual level by combining the arts of philosophy & poetry, music & magic into one coherent whole. A musical style perhaps best described as neo-cabaret / neo-folk - though not strictly bound to a genre as such - takes the listener on a journey through the realms of self-transformation through a strange, unworldly and experimental mixture of moodswings that intentionally shock the mind and purposefully disturb the mental balance.”” At the moment The Being is very busy improvising and recording new tracks. 2)Through a series of chance meetings, mainly at local gigs in Glasgow, tHE bEING was born.
