Symphony In Peril was a metalcore band based out of Columbus, Ohio, United States. They were signed to Facedown Records. They differed from the hardcore punk-driven Zao which Shawn Jonas (lead singer) led from 1993 to 1997. Symphony In Peril released their first alnum "Lost Memoirs And Faded Pictures" in 2003. In 2005, they released "The Whore's Trophy". Both albums were known for being balanced, mixing a few acoustic fill-ins with massive amounts of pummeling breakdowns. The band disbanded in 2005 after a final show on November 25th, which took place in their home town of Columbus. In 2022 the band began working on some new material, with the only original member being vocalist Shawn Jonas. On February 22, 2023, it was announced the band will play their first show in 18 years at the 2023 Furnace Fest preshow. In 2022, the band formed under the lineup of returning members Shawn Jonas and Andy Capps, with new members Dan Pelletier on guitars, Chico Weeks on bass, and Michael DeSerio on drums. However, by 2023, the lineup shifted with Weeks and DeSerio departing from the band, which Pelletier explained was due to the distance between band members. In 2023, the band now featured Bryan Yost on bass and Josh King on drums.
