The Edinburgh singer song writer and multi instrumentalist Gavin Henderson has made one hell of a debut album, full of fantastic orchestral arrangements and achingly edgy songs. He played and wrote all ten songs himself at his home studio and if he gets a bigger budget next time there is no telling what he might be capable of. Hypocrite begins with a yearning falsetto and ends like an out take from Massive Attacks Mezzanine, while Amethyst is the kind of beautiful instrumental that Brian Wilson used to knock out in his sleep...
