Sweeter Than Honey is a family band made up of youthful, brilliant musicians from Florham Park, NJ. The three siblings originating their instrumental abilities with the piano in the year 2001 have since branched out to other instruments including: drums, guitar, bass guitar, flute, saxophone and harmonica. Their manifold instrumental talents enhance their musical diversity and genres. Although not having formal training, they are indebted to the early rock n’ roll legends that inspired and provided their musical guidance. Sweeter Than Honey is not only a must hear band, but a must see band. Awe-inspiring performances leave audiences with drop jaws, mesmerized, and riveted. Having mass appeal to the 30 through 60 year-olds they also touch the hearts of those from 2 to 92. Their music has been heard in many outdoor venues including downtown street festivals, car shows, farmers markets, picnics/BBQ’s, boardwalks, beach clubs, and parks along with indoor settings at school dances, day camps, coffee house events, cafes, restaurants, pubs, hotels, sports arenas, malls and more. They have rocked the entire state of New Jersey with over 100 shows in the last 3 years. The band members consists of the Rock'n Rios trio: Ruth, Sam and Josh. Ruth is 17 years old and aside from playing the keyboard, Ruth also rocks it with the flute, drums, and provides lead/back-up vocals. Ruth enjoys playing the piccolo for the school band.
