Sweet Children

Two artists have gone this name: 1.) Sweet Children was the original name of Green Day that was formed by Raj Punjabi (drums, percussion, backing vocals) Mike Dirnt (rhythm and lead guitar, backing vocals) and Billie Joe Armstrong (lead vocals, lead and rhythm guitar, piano, harmonica). Punjabi left and was replaced by John Kiffmeyer (who went by the stage name Al Sobrante). The band kept the name for a short time after Tré Cool joined in 1990 before switching to Green Day. Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt reunited with drummer John Kiffmeyer in 2015 and they performed under the name Sweet Children. 2.) Sweet Children was an Italian punk band highly inspired by Green Day formed in 1996. They recently changed their name to The Snookies.
