Swansinger is an eclectic, cutting edge band in the emerging ALTERNAPROG movement. Based out of Orlando, Florida, Swansinger's sound is as diverse as its members. By fusing a wide range of musical styles from classical to goth and from jazz to rock, Swansinger is producing a dynamic and exciting new sound. Founded by Joe Montalvo in late 1999, the band and its music have gone through metamorphic changes since its inception, from incorporating cello, violin, and french horn on previous recordings, to the unusual blend of eerie guitar leads, pounding drum beats, and synthesizers you hear today. In order to achieve the goal of making good, honest music, Swansinger continually returns to their personal influences and the roots of rock and roll to create an eclectic rock sound. Swansinger continues to play out at many of Central Florida's top venues as well as releasing their much anticipated album in October 2007. Swansinger has proven that it has the ability to capture the attention and imagination of huge audiences while still presenting the music in a manner that the listener can be intimate with.
