There are several bands called Swallows: A) Swallows is Sian Macfarlane from the weirdest core of the Midlands. Inspired by rainfall, speaking backwards, creeped-out ambience and clustering samples her music seems to draw a lot from a playful recording techniques whilst guitar and/or keyboard lines swell and underpin the songs, often accompanied by some extra dissonance and her ghostly vocal. www.myspace.com/swallowsoverhead B) “Swallows is an alternative band out of Minnesota that has invoked what people are calling 'rock and roll, ugly and beautiful, profane and spiritual.' This quartet brings a blend of classic blues, a barrage of eclectic instruments, and warm yet gritty Nick Cave vocals.” - David Buchanan, Consequence of Sound Swallows' line-up features the collaborations of Jeff Crandall, Aaron Kerr, Tyson Allison and Frank Spencer.
