A solo extreme doom metal project of a musician choosing to release his material under the pseudonym Atrox, Swallowed Whole attempts to bring some of the most disgusting pieces of human history to life. The recording process of the band's debut, Megalomania, began in late 2017 before being published to Bandcamp on March 3, 2018 to a fairly positive reception--being given an 8/10 review from MetalStorm, in which it was stated: "Megalomania certainly won't end up being made for everyone, but if you're a fan of truly hard hitting, dreary music, don't let this one pass you by.". A second album, Atrocity, was officially released on December 11th of the same year. In addition to Swallowed Whole, Atrox also contributed to the creation of the self-titled EP of Vérszomj.
