There are several bands called Svalbard. 1) An English hardcore punk band from Bristol, formed in 2011 2) a metal band from Silesia, Poland 3) a martial/darkwave band from Homel, Belarus. 1] Svalbard are an English hardcore punk band from Bristol, formed in 2011. Following early material (compiled on the album Discography 2012–2014) they have released four studio albums: One Day All This Will End (2015), It's Hard to Have Hope (2018), When I Die, Will I Get Better? (2020), The Weight of The Mask (2023). Their style integrates disparate influences, including post-rock and black metal. Svalbard are a British post-hardcore band from Bristol, England. Formed in 2011 by co-lead vocalists and guitarists Serena Cherry and Liam Phelan with drummer Mark Lilley, the band's line-up has featured bassist Matt Francis since 2020. Primarily exhibiting a post-hardcore and post-metal sound, the band's style features elements of black metal, crust punk, post-rock and shoegaze. 2] SVALBARD was started as an ambient one-man project in 2006. Its music was based on the mixture of dark ambient and neoclassic. During the winter of 2007 the first band's demo titled ‘Stille’ was recorded and soon SVALBARD received the invitation to take part in the international fest CRIVIA AETERNA. After band's first performance its conception was reworked and the next year SVALBARD performed their new program together with the new member [K.S.] who since there has become responsible for the lyrics of the project
