Internationally renowned, soprano Suzie LeBlanc has established an extraordinary career specializing in music of the Baroque and Classical periods. Her busy schedule is an enviable mix of concert and opera performances, festival appearances and recording projects both on video and for the CD market. Her engagements for summer 2005 included the Montreal Baroque Festival, Festival Vancouver, Vancouver Early Music and performances in Berlin. The repertoire for these engagements included Caldara’s rarely heard LA CONVERSIONE DI CLODOVEO, RE DI FRANCIA, Handel’s ACIS AND GALATEA and concerts featuring the music of Purcell. Ms. LeBlanc’s 2007-2008 season is highlighted by her performances as soprano soloist in MESSIAH with the Detroit and Toronto symphonies, both conducted by Nicholas Kreamer. She will be heard with the Victoria Symphony in a Bach programme conducted by Yannick Nezet-Seguin, with the Grand Philharmonic Choir of Kitchener in Bach’s JOHANNES PASSION and she also appears with Orchestre Metropolitan du Grand Montreal. She continues her activities with Academie Baroque de Montreal, and will be featured by Vancouver Early Music in specially selected programmes. Ms. LeBlanc’s 2006-2007 season included an extensive tour of the Far East with Arion Baroque Orchestra; Telemann and Bach with Music of the Baroque in Chicago; and Bach performances with the Richard Eaton Singers of Edmonton, the Elora Festival Singers and the Grand Philharmonic Choir.
