about

Suzanne Little is a Canadian singer-songwriter. She was a member of Lava Hay in the early 1990s, and subsequently released one album as a solo artist. After Lava Hay's breakup in 1993, Little relocated to Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. In late 1994 she went to San Francisco to work with record producer Norm Kerner, and collaborated with such musicians as Chuck Prophet of Green on Red, David Immerglück of Camper Van Beethoven and Bruce Kaphan of American Music Club. The result was her 1995 debut album, Be Here Now. Her first solo tour was in January 1996. As a solo artist, Little toured primarily in Europe and enjoyed success with her songs being placed in Movie and TV soundtracks. Most notably her song "Tragic Flaw" which was used for the L Word TV series. Her solo release coincided with the birth of her first son and she eventually chose to leave life on the road to put down roots for her young and growing family. She is married to fellow Canadian singer-songwriter Tom Hooper, of The Grapes of Wrath. They have two sons who have carried on the musical tradition, both releasing albums before finishing high school.
