about

Susan Gardener is a UK producer / musician & survivor of 80s electropop. She draws on her eclectic musical tastes, ranging from 70s rock / prog to modern day indie & dance genres to bring her own brand of thoughtful electronica. Susan is passionate about electronic music and a total gear freak. She has a growing collection of classic keyboards, from the Octave Cat and Roland JX8P to the more modern Roland JP8000 and now finds herself collecting classic drum machines: Roland TR909, Korg Minipops, Roland CR8000 and many more. She also uses modern soft synths, but her favourites are still the emulations of classics such as the ARP 2600 and Yamaha CS80. Is she a rock musician with a modern dance vibe, or a dance techno-head with a rock sensibility? You decide. She may get her guitar out occasionally, but her sound will always be heavily biased towards analog electronica with a strong melodic base. Let Susan take you on a journey as she brings you her musical exploration of the events surrounding the Chernobyl disaster of April 1986, transforming a once unremarkable forest in the Ukraine into a scene of ecological damage and mutated plant species, known locally as 'The Forest of Miracles'.
