Suren Soronzonbold (b. 1958 Tsetserleg, Arkhangai Aimag, Mongolia) is a Mongolian composer. He studied mechanical engineering in Ulaanbaatar and subsequently worked for the State Department of Energy and Fuel near the Ulaanbaatar Railway Station as a crane driver and welder. In his spare time, Soronzonbold participated as a musician with the State Circus of Mongolia and played drums with local bands. In 1985, he left Ulaanbaatar to study music in Yekaterinburg, Russia at the Urals Mussorgsky State Conservatoire and graduated in 1992. Soronzonbold currently teaches at the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture. He has written four symphonies and six orchestral concerts.
