about

Superagente 86 is a Ska band founded in Madrid, Spain. Its music catalogue focuses mainly on Jamaican Ska, srongly influenced by The Skatallites, but also by others such as New York-Ska Jazz Ensemble, Hepcat and alike. It starting playing together in October 2001, and the band split in 2005. Band members come from very different backgrounds. Drummer Tachin was a Rock&Roll classic, Juan Ra "Pizzicato" and Sobornez were founders and song writers of Spanish popular band in the 80s "Los Refrescos" (the latter one still plays in "The Granadians" and is also the founder of Superagente 86), Charly Contreras (piano & Farfisa) Sobornez's old friend, Miguel started jamming Ska with SA86 and wrote "Telephone Number", Esther (69 agent) put her wonderful voice onto the band, Miguel Angel from Mallorca Island and Juan "Juan Uli" built up the wind section by playing trombone and saxophone respectively and initially supported by Miguel. Who knows if their return will ever come back together. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
