Super Special dub ambient project (Vladislav Lyaschuk and Denis Den) was started in 1996. At the time they were into playing acoustic music of various genres: Jazz, Soul, Reggey, Ska. That's what musicians say about themselves: "We wanted to combine the beauty of acoustic sound with the roaring guitars from the 70s and add a little of electronic sound to augment the vibrations. Our debut was the experimental album “Environment”. We used Roland MC 303 Groove Box and Roland JP 8000, which was convenient since these “old fellows” were in perfect harmony with each other and caused no problems during live performances. After continuous dives into the depths of our minds and travels around Europe, the second album “Waiting for the Black Brother” saw light. It was recorded in acoustics in Rotterdam at the gallery of our wonderful friend Tea. Those were the times of endless coffees and lasting nights. Infatuation by sound recording and DAT was on the rise. All trance music events then were sounded with such equipment. Digital sound took a firm hold of the dance floors of the time. Fluorescent lamps shed light on the paintings of our friends from Chill Out Planet Family, who pioneered the psychedelic culture in Russia. Our conscience was thrilled by the magic sound and rolling melodies, and we were closing in on what we thought we aimed at. Close relations with painting artists helped us expand our outlook on music and we are infinitely thankful for that. Recording equipment was
