Artist
Sunny Taylor has been performing for ten years, but she has been singing her whole life. Budding off of a tall family tree of artists and muscians, she is at home in front of the audience. Her melodies are simple, though her lyrics touch upon life's complexities. Born and raised in Fort Wayne, IN, she has acquired a faithful fan base locally, and now with the networking possibilities on the web, she hopes to reach a wider audience. Simply put, she writes and performs because she loves to, and that is very apparent at her live shows. One who witnesses a performance should be prepared to be sucked in, and taken on an emotional journey through everything from lost love and lessons learned, to intense regrets, and sentimental whimsy. Sunny is currently recording her third album, "Lock the Door and Leave" which is due out Spring of 2007. She descibes the album as "...more of a bare bones project than 1998's 'Lux in Tenebris Lucet', but a little more daring than 2001's live album 'Toast-n-Jam Presents....'" When asked about her vision for music's place in her future, she replies "I want to be a self-motivated, self-propelled artist. I want to be the only one who can be accountable for my successes and/or failures. I have a different perspective on success than I used to. I want to work hard at utilizing the gifts I've been given, and be satisfied with where God chooses to take me with them, if anywhere at all."
