The perfect Sunday? One with no obligations and endless possibilities, when you open the curtains and the morning sun shines to greet you. Sunday Sun has written the perfect soundtrack for summery days with timeless pop songs to fall in love with. Modest odes with catchy melodies, universal lyrics and a positive state of mind, in the classic tradition of the British Invasion and distinguished pop craftsmen such as Tom Petty, Crowded House and The Shins, with vocal harmonies worthy of the Beach Boys' approval. Sunday Sun is the spiritual brainchild of four young veterans: Koen-Willem Toering (Woost), Yoshi Breen (RubyQ), Wouter Rentema (GEM, Laura Jansen) and Jan Teertstra (Wooden Saints, Laura Jansen) have earned their stripes many times over. They found each other in their mutual love for succinct pop songs with substance; songs that can spontaneously make you smile but can also burrow their way into your heart. Their first single, Highly Respected Rebel, has already lured the likes of 3FM to declare Sunday Sun their newest Serious Talent. There is so much music simmering within Sunday Sun that this ambitious band will be releasing three EP's before the close of 2012.
