It all began (Whatever has started) at pukkelpop 2003 when Kris and Alex started thinking about starting a band (which would be called FreeShowerHot). Early september they recruited Timmy on drums and had their first rehearsal. They then settled on the moniker Sunburntnation (Taken from a line from Don Juan) and dropped FreeShowerHot. In january 2004, Alex picked up the bassguitar to thicken the Sunburntnation sound a bit. After months of sporadical rehearsals they recruited Praet on keyboards. 3 days after Praet joined the band, Sunburntnation had their first gig, at zpazztfest, the 29th of august. Fast forward to November 2004, Timmy left the band for personal reasons, and was promptly replaced by Jan. Around this time Sunburntnation decided to ditch the keyboards and praet started playing bass as well, resulting in a line up with 2 bassplayers, 1 guitarist and 1 drummer. July 2005: Kris quits Sunburntnation and stops playing guitar in general. SBN plays their last gig with Kris. After Kris left, the remaining members decided to break up the band. A few months later however, SBN is reformed and they start working on new songs. The line-up: Praet on bass, Alex on guitar and Jan on drums.
