With members from as far a field as L.A., Grenoble, Leeds, and Northampton, the members of Sunbirds all met in the melting pot that is London in 2009. James Buttery (Vox) and Dean Reid (Vox/Guitar) met whilst working at a recording studio and in down time started writing songs in what used to be Bob Marley's old flat. Slowly the band took shape and by the end of 2009 the line up was complete with Denis Vittoz (Drums) and Ben Axtell (Bass) both joining the band. The band have been playing select shows across the capital and have big plans for 2010. The first release is expected in April.
