The (formerly) solo acoustic project of one Jason Dwyer, current member of DOGS and former member of BOMBSHELTER/COLDBLUESKY/CRIMSON MIRE and various other bands, performing around campfires, living rooms and the like since 1991. As of 2005, SUMMER OF '92 has become a full band onslaught with a steady diet of bass players, though the "acoustic hardcore" edge has never been lost. In 2004, Bad Samaritan Records released Jason's first solo recording under the moniker of SUMMER OF '92, the six song acoustic rager 'Bullet'. The reviews for this debut were positive to say the least (see below). After a falling out with Bad Samaritan, and a bit of musical rebuilding, it was a while before Jason returned to the studio with SUMMER OF '92. The 'Saskatchewan' EP (released on Team Japanadian Violence Records 2007) was born during a demo session of the newly formed SUMMER OF '92 BAND during the winter,spring and summer of 2006. The haunting power of the title track elevated Jason's singer/songwriter status to new levels. In June 2008 the band took their first steps into the studio to begin work on a full length. With the working title of 'The Green and White Session', the SUMMER OF '92 band laid down eleven solid jams. Some of these are new, some are covers and a few are full band interpretations of SO92 classics.
