Cem Toraman, born on April 11, 1983, and better known as Summer Cem, is a German rapper of Turkish descent. He gained recognition through frequent collaborations with other prominent artists, including KC Rebell and Eko Fresh. Summer Cem has released several successful albums, with three reaching the top of the German albums chart: his solo album Cemesis in 2016, and the joint albums Maximum with KC Rebell in 2017 and Endstufe in 2018. Summer Cem was born to parents from Malatya, Turkey, and grew up in the Rheydt district of Mönchengladbach. His career began when Eko Fresh introduced him to Kool Savas, leading to Summer Cem's participation in the song Anti Garanti alongside Eko Fresh and others. This marked the start of numerous collaborations, including appearances on Eko Fresh's debut album Ich bin jung und brauche das Geld, and other releases from the German Dream label. In 2004, Summer Cem featured on the single Make Y'All Bounce, a collaboration with Raptile, Xzibit, and Eko Fresh, which appeared on the German edition of the release. He also contributed to the album Dünya Dönüyor – die Welt dreht sich by Eko Fresh and Azra that same year. His work continued with contributions to various samplers, including the Ersguterjunge label projects Vendetta and Alles Gute kommt von unten. Summer Cem released his debut album, Feierabend, in 2010, which featured guest appearances from artists like Farid Bang, Capkekz, and Kollegah. The album reached number 85 on the German charts
