SUITE 88 is a young Arizona-based hard rock band armed with plenty of unbridled raw talent. The four members, each born in 1988, merge to create a style of blues-based hard rock that also incorporates elements of pop, heavy metal, and southern rock. This new take on classic rock n’ roll gives them a sound that fits neatly between bands like Aerosmith, Buckcherry, Metallica, Nickelback, and Guns N’ Roses. The band got its start in April 2009, performing for the first time at an outdoor festival in Phoenix. A review of the show in All-Access Magazine called the group “A very solid unit that Arizona can expect to see a lot more of,” but Arizona isn’t the only place that can expect to see a lot more of SUITE 88. Their 2009 single “Ten Shots, Ten Minutes” and its accompanying video were recently featured in the premiere of NBC’s new show, Parenthood, exposing the band to a national audience for the first time. Capitalizing on that momentum, their upcoming 10 week, headlining North American summer tour is set to take them through over 26 U.S. states and part of Canada. Industry interest in the band has also perked lately, with plenty of attention being directed toward the upcoming tour. “We’ve been very fortunate in finding partners and sponsors who believe in the band,” says singer Mike Gunns, “and the NBC show has certainly helped.
