about

Sugar Noise is an aspiring electropop/synthwave band which was formed in 2015 in Tomsk. Within the local scene the band is famous for its deep metaphorical lyrics, the serious approach to songwriting and spectacular live shows using the livelooping technique to play the instrumentals live. The members of Sugar Noise get the inspiration from the works by TR/ST, Dead Astronauts and Crystal Castles, however, their music was also compared with a wide range of performers from CHVRCHES to Sexy Suicide. Sugar Noise wasn't active until 2017 due to various circumstances. In 2017 Sugar Noise appeared on stage for the first time as a local support act for PLOHO, the post-punk band from Novosibirsk, Russia. After this concert they also supported Feodoq and performed at the Russian urban culture festival Street Vision which was based in Tomsk. Due to various personal conflicts, in January 2018 the band broke up. The future of Sugar Noise is ambiguous. Releases: Annie/Haunted (September 2017, self-released) City Block Distance (December 2017, self-released) Current members: Kirill Bakulin - livelooping, production, music Former members: Darya Zhuravleva - voice, lyrics, music (2015-2018) User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
