Sufjan Stevens has announced a new collaborative album with his stepfather Lowell Brams (aka the Lowell of Carrie & Lowell). It’s called Aporia and it’s out March 27 on Asthmatic Kitty, the label that Stevens and Brams founded together. Aporia was recorded over the span of several years. “You know how it is with jamming,” Stevens writes in a press release, “ninety percent of it is absolutely horrible, but if you’re just lucky enough, ten percent is magic. I just kept pulling out these little magical moments.” Stevens and Brams previously collaborated on 2015’s Music for Insomnia.
