There are multiple artists recording under the name Subverse. (1)A UK based Drum and Bass/Jungle producer. (2)A Canadian based band born in Vancouver in 1984. Demo tape "Chaos & Destruction" [85]made its way to Englands Manic Ears label with the Jaks teams Carlos Longos.The result being a split LP with Arizonas Desecration.A few songs on compilation records and a few years later, Loony Tunes[another British label]released the Give Jesus Back to the Martians 7" ep.Subverse also toured/played with MDC,Chaos U.K.,Napalm Death,Death Sentance,Ripcord, The Rythm Pigs,Chumbawamba,The Spores,Civilised Society and on and on.... (3) A South African based rapper. Born and bred in the North West province town of Rustenburg. Subverse’s lyrics are mostly English with a mix of SeTswana, being a proud “Ntwana ya Rusty.” While his influences mainly stem from the hip hop genre, he does not limit his taste in any way and dabbles into other genres – a trait that is evident in his music.
