Punk’s dead! So what? They’ve heard it before and they don’t care. What’s trendy, what’s fashionable? Not them. Suburban Lockdown formed because they love the music; this is who they are and they will not apologize. Various members of Suburban Lockdown have been playing in punk rock and hardcore bands since 1982; Affirmative Action, Adventures in Immortality, The Malefactors, Another Round, Destination:Daybreak; these guys have logged some serious playing, recording, and touring time. The band formed in 2002 and has since set the South ablaze. Based out of Orlando, FL, Suburban Lockdown has distinguished itself as one of the hardest playing live acts in the country. Influenced by everything from late 1970’s New York rock’n’roll, British punk, Oi, and 1980’s American hardcore punk, Suburban Lockdown lights the fuse and stands still. The songs are short, sharp shocks of speed, aggression, and melody, centered around themes of working-class frustration, everyday life, and rock’n’roll mayhem. Since their inception, Suburban Lockdown has been extremely active, playing shows with The Briefs, The Vibrators, Clit-45, None More Black, GBH, Defiance, Lower Class Brats, The Hudson Falcons, Naked Aggression, Total Chaos, and Beer Zone. Summer of 2005 saw the release of The Backstreets of American Oi and Streetpunk Vol. 2: Ten Years Later on Street Anthem/Stay Press Records. The band contributed their trademark anthem “U.S. Incorporated”. Spring of 2006 will see the release of the band’s
