straight edge hardcore punk band called Subterranean Kids was formed in 1985 in Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain). The band was the first in Spain to introduce the new american music named "hardcore" and also a new way of life sung by Ian Mc Kaye of the band Minor Threat: Straight Edge attitude (tolerant). Strictly musical the band started playing a dirty punk-core to became little by little in a kind of music faster but also more melodic, clean and well produced. Subterranean Kids members made also another activities such as: label (Outline Records), radio-shows, fanzines, organizing concerts and keep contact with other hardcore / punk scenes such as: USA, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, etc. During Subterranean Kids was in active its members played also in other b-side projects quite importants in the spanish hardcore-punk scene like Acció Directa, Tropel Nat or Anarkotics.
